My Amazing Trip to the Lut Desert:
During the trip in my hometown, Iran, I got to visit a very special place called the Lut Desert. It is one of the hottest and driest deserts in the world, and it looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The desert was full of sand, salt, and strange rocks. It felt like I was walking on another planet!
What the Desert Looks Like:

The Hottest Place on Earth:
Did you know the Lut Desert holds the record for the hottest temperature ever on Earth? It can get up to 70.7°C (159.3°F)! I visited when it wasn’t too hot, but even then, it still felt warm and dry.Even though it’s so hot, the desert is still beautiful. The salt plains looked like they were sparkling, and the sand dunes made waves that seemed to go on forever.
Sleeping Under the Stars:
One of the best parts of my trip was sleeping under the stars. When the sun went down, it became quiet and cool. I looked up and saw thousands of stars in the sky. It felt like I could touch them!The sky was so clear, and the stars were so bright. I felt peaceful and amazed at how big and beautiful the universe is.
The Quiet of the Desert:
The best thing about the Lut Desert was the silence. There were no sounds from cars, animals, or people—just the sound of the wind blowing through the sand. It was so quiet that I could hear my own thoughts. It made me feel calm and happy.
