During my trip to southern Iran, I went to a very special place called the Hara Forests. These forests are near Qeshm Island and are full of trees that grow in salty water. It was one of the most amazing and peaceful places I have ever seen.
Getting to the Forests:
To visit the Hara Forests, I took a small boat. As we got closer, I saw green trees growing right out of the water. Their roots looked like they were holding onto the surface. The air was fresh, and I could hear the sounds of birds everywhere. The boat ride was so much fun! We moved slowly through small waterways surrounded by trees. It felt like I was in a magical jungle.
What Makes These Trees Special?
The trees in the Hara Forests are called mangroves. They are very special because they can live in salty water. Their roots clean the salt out of the water so the tree can grow. These trees are very important because they protect the land from storms, give animals a place to live, and help keep the water clean. The Hara Forests are a protected area, which means people work hard to take care of them so they can stay beautiful and healthy.
Lots of Animals to See:
One of the best things about the Hara Forests is all the animals that live there. I saw so many birds, like herons and kingfishers, flying around and sitting in the trees. Their bright colors were so pretty. The forest is also home to fish, crabs, and small shrimp that live near the roots of the trees. Sometimes you can even see dolphins in the water. I didn’t see any dolphins this time, but I still felt excited knowing they might be nearby!
The Changing Water:
The Hara Forests change with the tide. When the water is high, the trees look like they are floating. But when the water is low, you can see their roots sticking out of the ground.I visited during high tide, so the boat could easily move through the forest. It felt like I was floating through a green maze.
A Quiet and Peaceful Place:
The Hara Forests are so quiet and calm. There were no loud noises, only the sound of the water and the birds. It felt like a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
Why I Loved It:
Visiting the Hara Forests was an amazing experience. The trees, the birds, and the peaceful feeling made it so special. If you ever visit Qeshm Island, you should go to the Hara Forests. It’s a magical place where you can have fun and see the beauty of nature up close. I will never forget my trip there!
